LEAGUE TEAMS
The Go-Pro Sports Football Academy Dubai actively participates in several reputable leagues here in the region and abroad. Go-Pro players have the opportunity to play in both friendly and competitive fixtures against regional and international teams.
As a training and development football academy, Go-Pro’s primary focus when coaching is building the skill set of the individual. However, we believe it is vitally important to have a balance between training and competition. Without the competitive element our players are unable to reinforce their training, they must be given the opportunity to try out their skills and learn from errors both in training and in the competitive field.
Squad selection is based on two main criteria.
• Ability: this is focussed around the Player Performance Indicators (PPI)
• Commitment: this is established on the total number of training hours each week that he player is taking part in, this means positively contributing to and not just attending. At Go-Pro, each of our squad players are required to commit to a minimum of two trainings sessions per week.
Each season Go-Pro review both leagues and tournaments in the region and internationally. We review the competitive offerings and Go-Pro’s participation based on our criteria of quality competition, superb organisation and value to our players and parents who Go-Pro recognise as a major contributing factor in our academy.
